Buyer Beware! Car was never delivered. I had to drive 400 miles round-trip to pick it up after waiting 4 days for them to fix their broken down old truck or arrange alternative transportation. Trucking company and Auto Shipping Group refused any compensation for my time or mileage to retrieve the car after their truck broke down - even after their driver told me they would return some of the money due to their inability to deliver to my door. Don't believe them when they tout their high BBB score and satisfaction. Once they've got your money they'll do what they like. They've written the fine print on the contract to give them complete freedom to treat you as they please.

Wayne ...You certainly have the right to express your dismay with the carrier that broke down 300 miles from your location in New Mexico. However, I think it's fair to state the truth and not lead others to believe that you went to pickup your vehicle, which you didn't, and that the price increased which it didn't, and that this review is based upon you not receiving a discount because the carrier broke down in Grand Junction and was delayed for 2 days while they received the part, fixed their truck and delivered the vehicle to your door. You called me the day after you placed your order and told me the dealership was tired of having the vehicle there and asked when we could pick it up. That was day one of telling me we could load. We had a truck assigned and out there the next day by noon to find out that your paperwork wasn't complete and your check hadn't cleared for your car purchase. Had to cancel that truck. Dealership told us your paperwork would be complete in the next day or so, which it did and we assigned truck number 2 which came out and loaded. Quality company with a pristine haul record. The truck had gear problems 300 miles from delivering to you, had only high and low gear. Part had to be ordered and the truck repaired. You were one of 8 vehicles on that truck. Our driver, owner of the trucking company, myself kept in touch with you multiple times per day throughout. You wanted to take the day off work and have us compensate you for your lost wages to drive up and get it off the truck. Your suggestion, not ours. When we wouldn't do that you then wanted a $200.00 discount for the truck not delivering on Sunday. You were picked up Friday afternoon, Aug 5th and the driver told you delivery would be Sunday...three days from Lisle IL to Durango CO. The driver delivered to your door on Wednesday the 10th which is standard transport time on this route. If the driver wouldn't have told you delivery would be that quick, you would have had to settle for standard transport time on your route which in the end your 2015 Chevy Volt was delivered in. For those reading in trucks occasionally break down, not often but they occasionally can have a issue. When that happens our communication never breaks down, and freight rates seem to stay the same. Wayne, we appreciate you and your business. Apologize for any inconvenience the truck breaking down has caused you, and value your opinion as a chance to improve company wide. Greg
