- and as reviewed by many respondents at http://www.consumeraffairs.com/auto_trans/index.html, AmeriFreight was easy to deal with, direct and honest, communicating reliably and as needed with me and with my nephew on the other end. This was a Pennsylvania-to-Lake Tahoe, CA shipment. AmeriFreight was one of the few shippers (brokers) that got high praise from reviewers. I'm glad to be one of those reviewers. Ali Miller worked with several trucking companies until she got a good match. I didn't make it too easy on her as I didin't think I would get the car started. It would have cost $200 or 300 more if it couldn't climb onto the truck on its own steam. In March, we agreed to wait until thaw, so that I could drain the gas and get good gas in it. In May, it started up readily and the shipping rate was reasonable and competitive. The car is a 1965 Barracuda, probably not worth the cost of shipping- except to my nephew and to me.
