Can't tell you how bad this guy was. Promised he could get my car shipped for 1295 because he had been around forever and knew what the charge would be for my route. 4 days later I still had no carrier, I put another hundred in the deal Motor Movers added another 55 taken from my 350 broker fee. Day 7 still no carrier I added another 3 hundred to the offer, Steve said at that price I should be calling you with a carrier today. I agreed to give him one more day. Day 8 no carrier, cancelled with Motor Movers. Had to start all over , did more research and discovered that the market price for this route is around 2k and that a fair broker fee is 100 -200 knowing this I contacted another Broker, he quoted me the price I was expecting and a 200 broker fee. Car was on an enclosed carrier the next day. Steve as always when I contacted him was probably still working or talking to his dispatch office. Lessons Learned
1. Don't use Motor Movers their Brokerage fee is too high.
2. I found the fair rate for my route by contacting carriers instead of brokers.
3. Quotes from brokers mean very little the low ones are just to get you to use their co. and they will waste your time because brokers don't actually control shipping prices. Truckers do.
4. If you can plan your shipment 2 or 3 weeks ahead and arrange your move with a reputable carrier not a broker. you will probably pay about the same. A fair price is around $1.20 per mile with a broker or carrier.

Steven R 480-719-7910 Stevenr@motormoversautotransport.com Alex, I sincerely apologize for the experience you had with me at Motor Movers. I took a lot of time to explain the process to you. I explained that this could be a difficult one because of the particular route, Corpus Christi to San Francisco for enclosed shipping. Our fees are right in line with industry and I did whatever I could to facilitate your move. It doesn't happen very often, but in this case the carriers won out because their fees were much higher than anticipated. Your experience with Motor Movers in no way is an example of how the company does business. We have phenomenal reviews from 99 percent of our customers. Sometimes, though, things happen out of our control. I appreciate your candor and have learned more from the experience. Steven
