Buyer BEWARE - Will Never Use Montway Again

I had my 2015 Ford Fusion shipped from California to New Jersey in 2017. No issues with pick up or delivery date however I received my car with a dead battery. Had to jump start the car on the flat bed to even get it off and then the battery crapped out again the next day and needed to replace it entirely. The car had been routinely serviced for the entire time I owned and I provided recent vehicle reports to Montway in hopes they would cover the cost to replace the battery.

I received no response from Montway and had to cover the cost of the replacement battery myself. Luckily - this was only a dead battery and not something worse. My experience with Montway claims and customer service was awful. No follow up, nobody taking the point on my claim as I was given a village email and i was directed to the carrier (Selpa Logistics) in hopes they would cover the claim (Yeah right!). I submitted all of the paperwork Montway requires for a claim in September of 2017, and still no response on the claim in November 2017.

All in all, was a very awful experience with the customer service after being a 2nd time customer - I will not be using Montway in the future.

We thank you for your review and regret to learn of your experience with Montway, causing you to state you would no longer be using us. Such issues are not common in the auto transport industry. Montway's in-house claims department reached out to the customer immediately after learning of the issue. The customer was provided some detailed steps and options for compensation. Upon receiving the customer's documentation Montway attempted to mediate the matter on their behalf. Unfortunately, the assigned carrier was not in agreement with the reported issue as the battery and/or mechanics are not a part of inspection at the time of pick up & delivery. Therefore only the exterior is inspected. The customer has been informed of the position of the carrier in regards to the issue reported.We certainly apologize for the inconveniences that you experienced. We care about our customers and try to provide the best service possible. We ask that the customer contact us directly shall they have any further questions or concerns.
